The aim of this qualification is to provide the skills, knowledge and competence required for an individual to work unsupervised as a personal trainer. This includes being able to offer one-to-one training, baseline assessment, nutritional advice and progressive programming which is specific to the individual needs of a client. The Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training will allow you to gain access to the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) at Level 3. This course will cover content expanding on from the Level 2 anatomy and physiology including the nervous, endocrine and energy systems and their relation to exercise and health. You will build on your Level 2 qualification by attainting the knowledge of how to apply the principles of nutrition to support client goals as part of an exercise and physical activity programme. Alongside this you will learn how to design, manage, and adapt a personal training programme as well as becoming equipped with the practical skills in order to deliver exercise and physical activity as part of a prescribed programme.
Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded the CYQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training and achieve 20 reps points, qualifying you to design, manage, and adapt a personal training programme as well as becoming equipped with the practical skills in order to deliver exercise and physical activity as part of a prescribed programme. From here progression routes could include;
